Some listings appear higher than search relevance alone would put them. Those are always labeled, and the two labels mean different things.
- Sponsored: the business paid for that position.
- Featured: Weedtip placed the business there at no charge, usually to fill an empty slot in a quiet area.
The labels are never swapped. A paid placement is never shown as Featured, because calling paid placement something softer would mislead you about why you are seeing it.
Paid placement never changes a shop’s reviews, ratings, menu or prices, and it is always confined to the area the shop actually serves.
